DOUGLAS: John of London formerly of Granton

At LHSC-University Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Cindy Mitchell. Father of Shelly and David. Step-father of Jason and Lacy and step-grandfather of Evan, Jace and Ryder. John will be sadly missed by his nieces Linda Melanson, Karen Dorman and their families. Remembered by special friends John and Lynne Payne. Predeceased by his brother Bill Evans and sister-in-law Lucille Evans. John was a heavy equipment operator with Local 793 Operating Engineers Union for 50 years.

Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN from 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday, March 15th where the funeral will be held at 11 AM.  

If desired donations to Diabetes Canada or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

Sorry to hear of John Passing over to a new begaining He will be miss by many Family & friends John and I go Back 60 years we play to gather we work for a short time at Gaffney Consturtion in London. Our condolences to Cindy and family.
John will be missed. Our lives crossed many years ago and to me he will always be “Sliver”. Always a happy guy when ever we met. Only guy I know that washed his pick up truck with a hand-held car wash … On the INSIDE !!!!
Life is not about the end goal… It is about whether you enjoyed the trip. I think John would agree.

My deepest condolences I have fond memories of my time working with John over the years.I tried to beat him to work for one week straight out of town when I got there he was always reading the paper I asked at the end of the week and found out he was alway a hour early for work .He was a great friend ❤️????????????????????
