DOUGHTY: Laura (Misner)

Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Friday, October 2, 2020 of Exeter, formerly of Kitchener Waterloo at the age of 65. Beloved wife of Sid Doughty for over 40 years. Cherished momma of Carrie and Keith Linseman, Tracy Nguyen, and Rebecca and Cristian Gundisch. Proud honey (grandma) of Rilie Doughty, Lucas Nguyen, Maria Gundisch, Izabela Gundisch, and Alexia Gundisch. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Mark Huehnergard, Fred Doughty, Dan Doughty, Brett Doughty, Ethel Roy, Jennifer Perchak, Heather Paakkonen, and Pat Toma. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Geraldine (Cox) Misner, brother Brad Misner, sister Heather Huehnergard, brothers-in-law Monte Doughty, and Kirk Doughty.

Laura was proud of the many quilts she made over the years for orphans. She was so deeply loved by all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews who had the privilege of being babysat by their “honey”.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Exeter.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
