DONALDSON: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Thursday, August 4, 2016, John Frederick Donaldson, recently of Zurich, formerly of Dashwood, Cromarty and London, age 64. Loved father of Lisa Donaldson of Exeter, father-in-law of Shelley Donaldson of Hamilton, step-father of Heather “Toni” Vanderwiel of London, Raili Vanderwiel and partner Mark Lindenfield of Dashwood. Grandpa of Damien Donaldson and Mackenzie Donaldson-Kew. Dear brother of Peggy Ponak of Chilliwack, B.C. Remembered by his nieces Kathy and Kelly, nephews Gordon and James and their families. Predeceased by his parents Robert John and Annie Margaret (Hope) Donaldson, brother Robert Donaldson and son Andrew Donaldson. At John’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the IBEW Local 120 – 6688 Tempo Road (at the 401 and #4 (Col. Talbot Rd.) London, ON. A Private Family interment, with his parents, will take place at the Elmdale Cemetery, St. Thomas. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the South Huron Hospital, Exeter for their excellent care, love and compassion shown to John, you are truly appreciated.
