DIGNAN: Harold Benjamin of Hensall

At Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 Harold Benjamin Dignan, passed away in his 90th year. Husband of the late Revada Elizabeth Dignan (2006) Dear father of Diane and Gerald Thiel of Owen Sound, Dale and Marie Dignan of Ingersoll and Wesley Dignan and Nancy Wilson of Goderich. Loving grandfather of Sharon Taylor and Tony Veroude, Ian and Gayle Thiel, Jason and Ronalda Dignan, Christal and Kevin Clarke, Amanda Dignan, Mathew Hoy and Jen MacRae-Hoy, Courtney Dignan and Meghan Scott and Lindsey Dignan and great-grandfather of Marsha Taylor, Alex Thiel, Maximus Ho, Ferris MacRae-Hoy, Pearl MacRae-Hoy and Ella Dignan. Sadly missed by Mark Taylor. Dear brother and brother in-law of Earl and Ester Dignan, Sharen Dignan, Beverley Dignan. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents David and Annie Dignan, one daughter Marilyn in infancy, daughter-in-law Marie Dignan, brother Harvey Dignan, brothers-in-law Edwin (Blanche) Dignan, Weldon Dignan and sister-in-law Linnie (Wallace) Rayner.

Visitation in the Hensall Visitation Chapel of the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 79 King St. Hensall on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Pirie Mitchell officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Society or a charity of ones choice.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Harold’s passing. He was a fine man and a pleasure to be around. I will cherish good memories of Uncle Harold and Aunt Revada. The last time I saw him was in Mom’s kitchen after dad passed away and he was busy cracking open nuts for a snack. Sincerely, Karen and the boys. xo
