DEVRIES: Janice (Imanse) of Exeter and formerly of Sarnia

At the Exeter Villa, with family by her side, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, of Exeter and formerly of Sarnia in her 81st year.  Dear mother of Melinda DeVries of Sarnia, and Susan and Mark Fuller of Forest.  Dear grandmother of Nicole and Adam; Cody and Baleigh, and great-grandmother of 5.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Gertie Penninga of Exeter, Susanna Speir of  Varna, Andrew and Ruth Imanse of Brea, California, Peter and Jean Imanse of Goderich, John Imanse of Varna, John and Rita Hoogenes of Brucefield, JoAnne and John Forestell of Guelph, and Darlene and Peter Stastny of London.  Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Predeceased by her brother Frank, and brothers-in-law Robert Speir and Don Penninga.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  The funeral service will be held at the Exeter Christian Reformed Church, 330 Huron Street West, Exeter on Saturday, September 19th at 11 AM with Pastor Kevin teBrake officiating. Interment Bairds Cemetery, Bluewater (Stanley Township).

Donations to World Vision or Mission Services of London would be appreciated by the family.

To Janice’s family I extend my sincere condolences with this loss. My mother lived in the same building as Janice until she died in the year 2000 at a ripe old age of 90.

We can’t remember a trip to Exeter that didn’t include a visit with Aunt Janice and we’ll miss her very much. She was a sweet lady who could always think of something to be grateful for, whatever the circumstances.
