DEVEREAUX: Faye Isabelle (Dalton) of Seaforth
Posted By Haskett Funeral Home On June 30, 2025 @ 4:57 PM In Obituary,Seaforth | 117 Comments

Passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of Mike Devereaux for 48 years. Cherished mother of Patrick (Nicole) Devereaux, and Christine (Ben Glavin) Devereaux, Adored grandmother of Logan, Jaxon, and Hudson. Dear sister of Don (Pat) Dalton, and Ken (Brenda) Dalton, and sister-in-law of Teresa (Jim) Hickey, William (Connie) Devereaux, EIeanor Devereaux, Joan Devereaux, Fergus (Ruth Anne) Devereaux, and Reverend Father Joseph Devereaux. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Mavis (McClure) Dalton, parents-in-law Joseph and Florence (Murray) Devereaux and her sister-in-law Anne Marie Devereaux.
Faye was a vibrant and loving woman whose energy and spirit touched everyone around her. Deeply involved in both her family and the family farm, she was delighted to teach her kids and grandkids to drive tractors and other “toys” around the yard. A true tech enthusiast, Faye was the go-to person for setting up TVs, devices, and gadgets—not only for herself but for many in the community. Her passion for farming ran deep, and she was always eager to share that love with the next generation. Whether camping at the family farm or at her brother Donny’s gravel pit, she cherished the simple joys of togetherness. Faye was an incredible cook, known especially for her egg salad, chili, meatballs, and unforgettable carrot cake. She had an infectious laugh that could light up a room and a fierce loyalty to those she loved. Faye enjoyed time at the Boot Hill Jamboree in Bothwell with her group of friends and in her younger years, riding her motorcycle with her loving husband Mike. Always reaching out to connect, share stories, and lend a hand, Faye was a happy soul—but one you didn’t want to cross. Her presence, laughter, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Jessica’s House Hospice and Clinton Public Hospital for the care and compassion provided to Faye and her family during her stay.
A private family funeral service will be held at a later date with a private interment at Maitland Bank Cemetery.
A come and go celebration of Faye’s life will be held at the Seaforth Legion, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth on Friday, July 4th from 1:30 – 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Jessica’s House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

Mike and Family,
We had the good fortune of travelling through Alberta and Montana with Faye some summer’s ago. She was so easy going, laid back, thoughtful and fun. She had a heart of gold and was generous with her time and her spirit.
Before we left on the trip and without fuss, she set up our computer to help us read books, listen to music and watch movies. It was a tremendous amount of work. It was also so thoughtful and something we never forgot.
Your mom was a great soul and I hope your fond memories of her help you through your loss.
My heart goes out to all the Dalton & Devereaux families with the loss of Faye. There are no words to say, hugs and prayers to everyone. Rudy Jansen ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

I am so sad to hear this terrible news. It has been many decades since I last saw Faye but I will forever cherish the memories of the sweet young girl that I am so happy to have had as a classmate through our school years. We did get back in touch on FB the last few years and it was always so nice to hear how life was going and reflect on the memories. I send my most heartfelt condolences to all of Faye’s family and may God help bring you peace in this difficult time.
