Such sad news! When I received a message of Madeline’s passing I was shocked. Such a beautiful person, inside and out. I feel like I grew up being part of the Screenan family and to me, Madeline was Aunt Madeline. She always opened her home with love and warmth as if I were one of her own. It’s been years since we’ve spent time together, but the memories I do have make my heart warm. I can only imagine what you are going through Paul, Jeremy, Jenn, Danielle and Rachelle. My thoughts are with you and your extended family. I wish I could be there to celebrate the life of Aunt Madeline, but will be there in my heart.

Your mother has always been the benchmark that I work towards in my parenting. She is going to live on not only in you as her children but in all the countless lives of those children she cared for over the years.
I know it can’t help soothe the pain today or over the coming weeks, months, and years. Hopefully someday soon you’ll see that her Spirit lives on in so, so many of us that were lucky enough to have had her fix a boo- boo at some point years ago and still remember the way she made everything feel all better.
