DELUCE: Jeannie ‘Jean’ of Lucan

Jean passed away peacefully at her home in Lucan on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 83.

Loving mother of Larry and Kimberly Lavalle, the late Bernice (Lavalle) Robic and Zlatko Robic, Steven and Becky Lavalle, gained daughter-in-law Lori Lavalle, and Jeannie Bieber and future son-in-law Shawn Jenkinson.

Proud grandmother of Scott and Mitchell Lavalle, Joseph Lavalle, Anastasia Lavalle; Noel, Lily, and Summer Bieber; Christina, Jeremy, and Joshua Robic. Great grandmother to sweet Madeleine Lavalle.

Dear sister to Linda and the late Randy Dion, and sister-in-law to Sharon Bieber Rollings, Shirley Smith, and Irene Deluce. Remembered by her nephew Jimmy Deluce. Loved by many cousins and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Rutheda (Hunt) and John James Deluce and her brothers Jerry, Jack, and Tim Deluce.

Jean loved to live life with integrity and appreciated the little things in life. She loved to make people smile and always helped those in need. Jean took pride in being a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed many years of being the Lucan Dog Tag Lady. She was a staple on Water Street and loved to garden. When she was not walking her dog, Bella, you could always find her out shopping or gallivanting with friends. Jean was strong in faith and the Lord has called her home.

Please join family and friends for a celebration of Jean’s life on Thursday, August 28th, from 2 – 5 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 540, 136 Market Street, LUCAN.

Cremation with interment St. James Anglican Cemetery, Clandeboye.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Learning Centre – London would be appreciated by the family.

Sorry for your loss of your mom Jenny. When I called Aunt Jean’s number and got a recording (2). I then googled her name I was grief stricken to actually see her name come up… as I was afraid this would happen . We would talk to each other as much as we could about the dogs ,the house ,the family tree and about you,Shawn , and your girls . I was hoping to go meet her in person but I wasn’t able . I am sorry we didn’t get that chance.
You and your family are in my prayers.
R.I.P. AUNT JEAN
You will be sadly missed
Love Roberta
