Condolence from Megan Bisback on January 4th, 2012 5:00 PM

I always remember visiting Aunt Delphine as a small child, but my fondest memories were probably during the year I lived right across the street from her. I would chit chat with her on a very regular basis and was reminded of just how much she reminded me of my dad. It was refreshing that after his death that some of him lived on in her. I will miss you Aunt Delphine and my condolences go to the family.

Condolence from Vickie (Harris) and Larry Broome on January 5th, 2012 12:00 AM

I have many fond memories of Delphine. She always welcomed the little girl from across the road whether it was to bring a puppy over in a roasting pan, to visit, to help eat the peas out of the garden.. I was always welcomed there. She was like a second Mom, she was a great Mother , wife and friend to many people. Love you phine as verne would call her REST IN PEACE… say hi to mom and dad and alot of your old neighbours for me they are all waiting for you

Dear Ken and Family
We knew that Aunt Delphine was the eldest, but never thought we would lose her……. she had so much energy, always positive minded and always a upbeat philosophy. in her own quiet modest way she was a joy to visit, always happy to hear stories about our family and sometimes shared stories of her childhood as well. We will miss her greatly as we know so many friends and family will as well. Love to all.

Condolence from Ray and Linda McNichol on January 5th, 2012 12:00 PM

We have many wonderful memories of Delphine and her family throughout the years, from her taking many turns teaching Sunday school at Cavan, and being so interested in everything about our lives and that of our kids. Many, many fond memories of she and Vern wintering in Florida, and how she never complained, but was always the biggest toad in the pond when it came to a bit of a joke! She loved life and lived it to
the fullest! Many, many happy memories of a life, well lived….
Sincerely, Ray and Linda McNichol

Ken and family. We are so sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember when she taught me Sunday School at Winthrop. She was one very special lady.

Condolence from Andrea & Bruce Rowe on January 13th, 2012 5:00 PM

Hi, Sorry to hear about Delphine&&single&&s passing. She looked after our car in the winter for the past few years and when I met her up town she would always let me know how the car was doing. We had a nice chat with her in October before moving west and she was in good spirits. A lovely lady, Andrea & Bruce Rowe

Condolence from Carolanne Doig on January 16th, 2012 10:00 PM

Oh, I am sorry to hear about Delphine. Saw her on the street often over the years and we always spoke and reminisced about when Les played golf and Delphine would visit in the pro shop with Verne in the wheel chair. Many years have gone by since that time. My sincerest sympathy to all the family. She was a special lady to be sure.
