DEHAAN: Reno of Centralia

Passed away peacefully at Jessica’s House, Exeter on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved Husband of Jill Stewart-DeHaan for 51 years. Cherished father of Lesley DeHaan, and Christopher DeHaan. Dear brother of Trix Rae, Nel Walker, and Catherine Dehaan.

Reno DeHaan was born in the Netherlands and moved to Ontario with his family when he was 7 years old. While working towards his Masters in Electrical Engineering at The University of Western Ontario, he met his wife Jill. After graduation, Reno worked at Northern Telecom and taught at Fanshawe College. Throughout his life, he had many interests, including stamp collecting, fixing up old cars, bee keeping, and seniors’ exercise class; and he was a member of the Lucan Library Book Club, the Funeral Advisory and Memorial Society of Ontario, and the Retired Academics Group.

The family would like to thank the London Regional Cancer Program and Jessica’s House for all the care they provided for him.

In keeping with Reno’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Homes, Exeter (519-235-1220)

In lieu of flowers, donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.
