It was just ten days ago we visited Aunt Mary in the hospital. She was just so happy and as sharp as ever. We are sooo saddened that she is gone.

Growing up, I was either at Ann’s or she was at my place. We’d hang in the rec room downstairs watching colored TV. Mrs Dearing was like a mother to me.

Sorry to hear of Marion’s passing; hers was a life lived well (and a well lived life) for sure. She and Marshall were good friends of my parents Jack and Gertrude Rosser and I remember many good times with the Dearings over the years. Thankful that Linda, Jo and Ann along with her grandchildren and several great grandchildren will have fond memories and inspiration although her loss leaves such a void. Regrettably, I cannot attend on Tuesday but will remember Marion and the Dearing family that day.

I am thinking of all you at this time. I will always treasure my visits with Aunt Marion. She shared stories of her past which I enjoyed very much. As well she was always knowledgeable of world events. Of course I enjoyed sharing birdwatching adventures with her. She would tell me of the birds she would see just outside her window. She would also tell me of her birdwatching outings in Exeter. Most of all she loved her family dearly! I will miss her! Rest in peace Aunt Marion.

I’m very sad to lose Marion, my childhood playmate and lifetime friend. As children, we lived a mile apart and went to Number 5 Hibbert school together. She was a first cousin to my husband Elmer, and over the years we felt like family. I feel grateful that we were able to enjoy time together on March 2nd, my 100th birthday, and we were looking forward to having a good time together again on her 100th in October. This is going to sound much like Jeanie’s tribute. I have to agree with her. They were the best employers anyone could ever wish to have. To Marion’s daughters……It was a huge shock to me on Sunday to read that your mother had passed away. I am very sad and sorry and you all have my deepest condolences. I am glad I was the one to share a room with her recently at University Hospital because she loved to chat about Exeter and people we may have both known. The night I moved on to Seaforth hospital she was very sad but she knew I would be contacting you when I could, which I had planned to do yesterday. I am thinking of you all today.

Deepest condolences on the loss of a very special Mother, Grandma & Great Grandma;
I remember Marion being a member of Exeter United Church and our paths crossed many times. One evening, in particular, I had my own Mother (Olive) in the local hospital emergency room when Marshall arrived by ambulance. I’m thinking that Marshall was going to be admitted as Marion was talking about calling for the taxi. Not wanting to inconvenience anyone, it was a hard sell for me to convince her that I would drive her the few blocks to her home. She was very appreciative and I was happy that I could do such a small deed!
Although I’m positive it was hard to say goodbye, she lived a long life that you can be very proud of. When you feel sad remember all those wonderful memories you made together.
