Passed away peacefully at Queensway Long-Term Care on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew (Andy) De Boer (2007). Dearly missed by her sister-in-law Eleanor Martin. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Jamie Pfeiffer, Kurt Pfeiffer, and Julie Pfeiffer. Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lyle Pfeiffer, and her siblings Robert (Bobby), Eleanor, Dennis, and Jimmy.
She was known for her love of dogs, particularly Kerry Blue Terriers, and even competed in dog shows, winning the very first one she entered with her dog, Tuck (Grand Champion). Anyone who knew Gloria knew how fond she was of her time spent teaching up north with indigenous children.
In keeping with Gloria’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and her remains will be placed in a niche beside her beloved husband Andy.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the World Wildlife Fund would be appreciated by the family.
