COX: Janice of Exeter
Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On July 14, 2025 @ 4:44 PM In Exeter,Obituary | 99 Comments

Janice passed away peacefully, on her own terms, surrounded by her family at Jessica’s House on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 66. Cherished wife of Terry Cox for over 44 years. Proud mom of Brad and Jessica Cox, Tyler and Robyn Cox, and Natasha and Mike Dayman. Adored Nana of Ella, Kensie; Carly, Wyatt; Emerson, Beckham, and Palmer. Predeceased by her mother Eileen Spurn and her father Clifford Spurn.
Janice will be remembered for her bubbly spirit, infectious giggle, and the warmth of her ever-present smile. Her big heart and positivity touched everyone she met. Above all, she cherished her family and took immense pride in her role as Nana — a title she held with unending love and joy.
A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Friday, July 18th from 2 – 4 PM.
Donations to Jessica’s House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

It is with a heavy heart, I send my sympathy to you and her family. I had the pleasure and honour to work with Janice for a number of years at HDC. Her work and detail for accuracy was exemplary. She was an upbeat team player with an infectious smile that made others smile. May she rest in peace.
Cox Family
Janice and I had many experiences together as young adults. She was very adventurous and showed me women can shot rifles (injuring my shoulder), drive a boat (found myself unexpectedly in the water fully clothed minus my favorite shades), girls trip (camping and train rides that were very interesting) and chasing your boyfriend (found us in the ditch). There are many many more experiences but the best was standing up with her on her wedding day July 11 1981. Janice was never in any rush back then so we were fashionably late to the church (never seen a minister angry before until then). She always did things on her own terms and I admired her for that. She had the best smile and laugh, and was beautiful inside and out. Thanks Janice for all the great memories.
To your family, Peter and I want to send our deepest sympathy and condolences.
