COUCHMAN: Donna F. (McKeown) of Exeter

“It is never easy to say goodbye to someone who’s had such an impact on our lives, when that person is gone there is a hole where that person used to be in our life.”

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna at her home, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Steve Couchman for 22 years. Cherished mother of Heather (Adam) Kerton, Christine (Tom) Hillman; Claire (Chris) Boone, Laura (Alec) Gervais, and Scott (Jamie) Couchman. Adored grandmother of Cody, Emily, and Mackenzie; Mason; Natasha, and Sierra; Riley, Gemma, and Hunter; Dominic, and Jaxon; and Robert. Dear sister-in-law of Jane Couchman, and Andy (Beverly) Couchman. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and the extended Couchman and McKeown families. Predeceased by brother Bill (Jan) McKeown, sister Jo (Finn) Poulstrup, and her parents Ralph and Eleanor (McDougall) McKeown.

Donna was a devoted, loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and wife. She always had a smile on her face and was happy to help anyone. She helped guide many young teens and women, to get their education through Georgetown’s TEAM & STEP programs. Nothing would make her happier than to see a loved one or student succeed in their goals and full potential. Donna’s fondest memories were times spent with her family and friends. She will forever be missed and remain in our hearts.

“The loss is Immeasurable but so is the love left behind “

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date. Spring interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220).

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Although Donna and I had never met, I felt moved to offer sincere condolences on behalf of the Allan family: our late father, Ken, and Ralph were school chums and pretty good friends ever since way back in the Acton days. Years later, “Mr. McKeown” was our principal at Limehouse school… always respected and always a gentleman.

With warmest regards from the Allan family. May she rest in peace.
