Passed away unexpectedly at South Huron Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday, December 21, 2023 of Hensall at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Doug Cooper (2020). Cherished mom of Barb and Doug Ferguson of Hensall, Steve and Sue Cooper of Exeter, and Brian and Tracey Cooper of Hensall. Proud grandma of Dan and Kaylee; Blair and Sarah, Morgan and AJ; Ryan and Meagan, the late Tyler (2020) and Nicole (Kevin), and Dylan and Nicole. Adored great-grandma of Sierra, Bella, Taylor, Charlee, Olivia, and Jack. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley Richardson. Predeceased by her parents Wes and Muriel (Carlisle) Richardson, and her brother Ken Richardson.
Carole always looked forward to her morning trip for coffee with friends or in later years with “the girls”. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Carole loved to play games and she never let up once she took the lead. She was a dedicated member of the United Church and enjoyed attending Sunday service.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday, December 27th from 4 – 7 PM, where Carole’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 28th at 11 AM. Cremation with interment Hensall Union Cemetery.
