Passed away peacefully at Huron Hospice, Clinton on Monday, June 21, 2021 of Seaforth, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Coombs (2008). Cherished mother of Patti and Roy Taylor, Rick Coombs, Gary and Dene Coombs, the late Tim Coombs (2010), Jeff and Lori Coombs, Shawn and Kim Coombs, and son-in-law Jack Geldhof (2009). Proud grandma of 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents and her siblings.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, June 24th at 11 AM with Father Philip Joseph presiding. Interment Egmondville Cemetery.
Donations to Huron Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

To all of the Coombs Family, we express our sincere condolences on the passing of my “Aunt Rita” who saved my life in 1955 (I was 4 years old) as I was being drawn into deep water by the strong undertow at the beach at Bayfield. Thank God for an awesome aunt!
Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Rita, your Mother, Grandma, Great-grandma and Great-great grandma.
We will always remember her smile, sense of humor and her laugh.

Rita, was a good , kind neighbor that liked a good laugh sorry to hear of her passing.
Our sincere condolences to my cousins, their children and their children ,on the loss of our dearest Rita. I am grateful for the support she gave our Mom during her decline, enabling Kate to remain at her home in beloved Seaforth for as long as possible. While the sweetest lady I ever knew, Aunt Rita was ever always a pillar of strength through the trials and tribulations of life.

I remember my neighbour Rita as a sweet, hospitable lady. But Rita was also very tough. Both qualities I admired in her. I can’t remember how many times I locked myself out of the building and she came down to let me in. I’d like to offer condolences on behalf of myself and my fiancé Ron Blanchard.
