Passed away peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Marie (Curry) Connor for 46 years. Cherished father of Bill and Shelly Connor of Alberta, Tom Connor and Andrea Jaques of P.E.I., and Rob and Candice Connor of Saskatchewan. Adored grandfather of Haleigh, Zachary; Savannah, Haiden; James, and Lexi. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and the extended Curry family. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Marjorie (Thomas) Connor.
Dan devoted many years to his career as a long-haul trucker, traveling all over North America. He was also a dedicated employee of Dunlop in Huron Park. Dan’s passion extended beyond his professional life; he found joy in coaching numerous hockey teams over the years, contributing to the revival of Senior A and Junior C hockey in Goderich during the 1990s. In his leisure time, he loved riding his motorcycle and creating lasting memories with his wife, Marie, and their sons.
A come and go celebration of Dan’s life will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street, EXETER on Wednesday, September 13th, from 3 – 6 PM. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Tom, Bill, Rob, Marie and families:
My condolences on Dan’s passing. He was inspirational for his love of Hockey in Goderich. Being a player for the Pirates, I know and saw first hand how Dan was the driving force behind our successes. He treated his players like superstars and created an atmosphere that was invigorating for both fans and players alike
