To Phil’s Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss. You sure were right when you said he had a smile that would light up the room. We were on the same bus trip with the Lambton Cattlemen many years ago when we went to Arizona. I can remember how tiny Phil looked standing in the bucket of the HUGE trucks in the Copper Mine we visited on the trip.
Treasure your memories of him and hold them close to your heart where he will always remain and remember that LOVE nevet dies, and he and Ellen are together again.

Phil was one of the kindest people we have ever met – always quick with a smile, a laugh. He was very proud of the children he (and Ellen) raised, and he delighted in his grandchildren. We loved the occasions we got to share with him, and even just sitting having a coffee, he was a joy to spend time with. He made everyone feel special. He will be missed so much, our hearts are with the family.

Though the occasion was sad, it was wonderful to visit with everyone. You all know how much we loved and love all of you. Makes me wonder if and when I will ever see the extended Conlin families again.

I was heart broken that we lost our precious Phil (Butchy). He was such an adorable little first cousin. It was so much fun playing with this little guy and his siblings growing up.

A great memory that I have about Phil is when I was at London’s Teachers College and did my practice teaching at Mr. Carmel School. Phil was in grade 6 at the time and sat in the middle row half way down. He was quite serious in the classroom – but his big smile was quite radiant. When I asked Ellen one day if Phil was always in great humour she replied “what you see is what you get!”

I will miss our many telephone conversations and visits…. but most of all – I will miss you.

Although late in hearing this news, Linda and Greg Lewis would like to express our condolences to the families affected by this loss. Currently in Texas on holiday. I enjoyed my time working Phil on the farm when I first moved onto our family farm in Brinsley, Phil always smiling and a pleasure to work with, for the short time we worked together I have many fond memories.
