COLEMAN: Jean Marie (Brenner) of Exeter

Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, May 9, 2025 in her 72nd year. Cherished wife of Gerald Coleman for 50 years. Loving mom of Steve and Melissa Coleman, Julie Coleman, and Laura and James Anderson. Proud Nana of Eli; Adrianna, Olivia, and Zachary. Dear sister of Mark and Marie Brenner, Irene Brenner and Jeffrey Honey, Gerald and Paula Brenner, and Marlene and John Cybulsky and sister-in-law of Barbara and the late Lorne Gackstetter, James and Shirley Coleman, and Sandra and Murray Pepper. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Irma (McDermott) Brenner, and parents-in-law Francis and Edythe (McMillan) Coleman.

Jean was proud of her career as a Nurses Aide and PSW at the Exeter Villa, Blue Water Rest Home, and Saint Elizabeth Health Care. She enjoyed tending to her beautiful gardens and if inside, was baking a sweet treat to share with family and friends. Jean had a natural talent of making people laugh and always had a warm smile on her face. Above all, she cherished her family with all her heart; she gave good advice and always told them they could do anything they put their minds to.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Monday evening from 5 – 8 PM.

Jean’s Funeral Mass will be held at Precious Blood Church, 200 Sanders Street West, EXETER on Tuesday, May 13th at 11 AM. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery on the Bronson Line, Zurich.

Donations to Breast Cancer Canada or a Perpetual Mass at Precious Blood Church or St. Boniface Church in Jean’s memory would be appreciated by the family.

Condolence from Julie Coleman on May 10th, 2025 2:38 PM

Mom you were the light and love of our family. Thank you for being the kind of mom that teaches kindness to others, generosity and love. You taught us to have passions in life and to follow our hearts, no matter where that path led us. If we stumbled along the way you always remained on our side with loving arms, a helpful hand and loads of advice.

Above all you always taught us to say our prayers and to believe in the power of God. We will continue to say our prayers as we saw the peace he brought to you in your final days with us and we are so happy you are able to rest now Momma. No more struggles. We know you are now watching over us all and we couldn’t have asked for a more precious angel on our side.

We love you to the moon and back.

Julie, Adrianna, Olivia and Zach
