Grieve not for me though I am gone

For I am with you still.

God grant you strength to carry on

And understand His will.

A soft tear shed from time to time

Will ease your sorrowed mind,

But live your life as fully

As you helped me live mine.

Time will heal the hurting heart,

Faith will see you through;

There’s still a life for you to live,

With courage I leave you.

Remember me with thoughts of peace,

Live each day with your heart;

Grieve not for me for though I’m gone…

We’re never far apart.

John and Brian,
Please accept our very deepest sympathy at your loss. We enjoyed getting you meet Mary Jane and her family while our mother, Iva, was a resident of Blue Water. Although we did not see her in her best years, you could still tell she was a wonderful person with some zest for life, a sense of humour, and a kindness for all. John, your dedication to your mom was outstanding. It always brought a smile to her face when you walked up to her. Your concern and care added greatly to each day for Mary Jane and the staff. God bless.

Condolence from Kimberly Arnold on June 15th, 2021 1:03 PM

Dear John, Brian and family,
There is no way to adequately share with you the incredible influence and inspiration Mary Jane gave to us as a beloved Aunt and as my Godmother. I guess the proof is in the fact that 3 of the 6 of us kids went on to become teachers ourselves and follow in her footsteps. I will be forever grateful for the love of books, reading and artistic expression in painting & sculpting that she nurtured in all of us. She was a really special person in our lives and I just wanted you to know that sharing her with us meant so very much. Keeping you in my prayers and hoping you know that you are always welcome in our home. As she so often welcomed us into yours. Rest peacefully sweet Mary Jane and may “flights of angels take you to your rest”. Yours always Kimberly and family

Dear Brian and John,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my good friend and your wife and mother, Mary Jane. I will never forget all that she did for me since I met her while we were teaching together at Holy Rosary school. From mentoring me as a young teacher, to being there during difficult times in my life, to inviting me to stay with you when I needed support, to suggesting I move to Grand Bend, she was always there as a supportive, kind, compassionate friend. I could never repay all that Mary Jane and you have done for me.
Please extend my sympathy to your entire family and let them know that I’m thinking of them at this sad time. I feel so fortunate to have known her. Mary Jane will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
Thinking of you,
Anne
