What courage Carol had over the past years to enjoy continued time with family and friends. Mom will so miss her wit, companionship and outings. We have amazing memories of her visit two years ago, she was full of wonder and fun as we shared our adventure with her. Many will miss her warmth, kindness and quiet chuckle, but we were all fortunate to share them. Hoping the love of family and friends around you will ease the sadness and move to a continuous flow of wonderful memories. with love, Joanne, Herb, Ben and Aislinn

Tracey, Jayne & family and to all Carol&&single&&s many friends my sincerest sympathy on behalf of myself and my mom and dad. Carol was a very special member of our community and was a big part of our lives growing up in hockey circles with the old Seaforth Beavers, New Years parties at our place, and lots of time spent with mom and dad. I remember working with Carol on the 1995 Homecoming and she was always a treat – always smiling – always helpful. The last few times I saw her I teased her that I didn&&single&&t think she could possibly get any shorter! I am so sad to hear this news and I know it is a very sad time for my mom and dad too. So sorry!

Condolence from Maggie McLean on February 16th, 2017 12:00 PM

I was so sorry to hear of Carol&&single&&s recent death . For many years she provided great support to myself and our family . She worked for my dad as his secretary in the eighties .He really thought highly of her and relied on her advice .After my parents died it was Carol who did everything to assist my sister and me. Then in the early nineties she helped me as my book keeper. At all times she went beyond her job to help and give support.
She will be fondly remembered by us for all of the above but also for her wit and humour.
My deepest condolences to Jayne and Tracey and family .

Trace,
We&&single&&re deeply saddened to hear of your mom&&single&&s passing.
I&&single&&ve enjoyed reading and learning more about your mom through all these messages – all the good she did in her life – she clearly gave everything of herself to her family, her friends, and her community. She leaves behind so many fond and wonderful memories for those whose lives she touched so generously – can&&single&&t say I&&single&&m surprised though – you had to get it from somewhere!

Condolence from Nancy (Kunder) Malachowski on February 17th, 2017 5:00 PM

Dear Jayne, Tracy, and family: I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. I just hung up the phone after telling my Mom the sad news. Carol and Mom had kept up after all the distance and years, and it was especially sad news for Mom to hear. She considered Carol a very good friend. As for me, my heart just aches for all of you. As a young girl, Carol was like a second mom to me. My husband and I were just recently discussing what years we can recall as children, and I said that I could recall my time growing up in Harpurhey, feeding the horses sugar cubes over the fence, playing on the swing set, the birthday parties with Jayne, Tracy, and Charlie, the layout of our home, and the layout of your home. I know that it is because of the positive and wonderful memories we had that I can remember it all so clearly. Our parents all spent so much time together during those early years. Your Mom and Dad were so kind and lovely, even after we moved into town, having me for day and overnight visits to both your home and your grandmother&&single&&s in Stratford. A few years back, Mom, my daughter, and I had a wonderful lunch with the ladies, and Carol invited us back to her home for rhubarb juice and wine, which was so delicious. My daughter just loved your Mom. She was exactly the same after all these years, loving, caring, laughing and smiling. She was so proud of her girls, and her grandchildren, proudly showing us pictures and telling us stories. She will be very much missed by so many people in Seaforth. I know how much you must all be hurting right now, but I have no doubt she has already been welcomed as an angel in heaven, as that was who she was in life, and she can now be reunited with your dad, whom she loved so deeply. Although I can not be there for the funeral, please know I will be thinking of you all, and saying a prayer for your family. Sending you my love.

Nancy

Your Mom and Dad were a big part of a group, that had many great times and lots of laughter. My heart goes out to both of you and your family. Losing a Mom is heartache. Cherish the memories and celebrate her life, and all that she taught you. I always say, a mother is like a life coach, we learn so much from them and our job is to continue to pass on some of their traditions and all their love.
In deepest sympathy, Jill and my Dad, Jack

Condolence from John Munro & Rose Burgess on February 18th, 2017 10:00 PM

Dear Tracy and Jayne, So sorry hearing of your mother passing away. We always enjoyed her fun and humour as we visited at lawn bowling along with your Dad Gar. A few years ago your mom and dad wanted to put laminate flooring down on the floor in the den. So they came out to our place to see the floor we had put down. They liked it and with that I said to Gar that he was welcome to use my mitre saw if he was putting down his floor. So a short time went by and he called me to borrow the saw and I took it to your place. Well as the story goes I guess Gar felt I came with the saw and we laid that floor that day only to end the day with pizza and wings from the Pizza Train and cards after to later into the night. May our thoughts and prayers be with you and your.
