CAMPBELL: Mary Ellen (McKinnon)

CAMPBELL:  In Living Memory of Mary (McKinnon) Campbell of Grand Bend in her 92nd year.  “This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.”  On Monday, November 28th, 2022, peacefully, with family and friends she was born into Eternal Life.  Always prepared to serve, she led by example.  She will be sadly missed but is celebrated and very much alive through the Faith and Belief in family that she has shared with us.  Beloved wife of the late Edward “Bud” Campbell (1999).  Loving mom of Mary Anne (Tom), Jane (Michael), Mark “Mac” (Linda) and Caroline (Cory).  Special Mimi of Annie (Kyle), Luke (Megan); Michael, Anna; Scott (Michelle), Jenne (Ryan) and Christopher (Emily).  Loved by 10 great-grandchildren and countless animals.  Remembered by many friends and family.  Daughter of the late Francis Alexander and Daphne (Reed) McKinnon.  Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with Visitation on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Prayers at 3:30 p.m., CWL Prayers to follow.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend, on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Masks for both the Visitation and Funeral Service are encouraged.  The Rev. Fr. Tony Laforet Celebrant.  Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend.  In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donation (payable directly) to Covenant House Toronto (20 Gerrard St. E., Toronto); Blessings Food Bank, Zurich or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  We would like to express a special thanks to the Staff at Pinehaven Nursing Home for caring for Mom and us like Family.

We have memories of her buying a lunch for a homeless boy here in Grand Bend Tim Hortons and she brought him in and visited with him while he ate his lunch. Such a kind, compassionate lady. She will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother. We first met Mary in Tim Horton’s visiting with Tim’s Mom and Dad and Uncle Tony Martens….it was a regular outing for them and we joined the fun a few times over the years. Lots of stories were told, maybe some gossip and lots of laughter. We then became neighbours when we bought a place on Morenz lane. Mary also was loved by our dog Delilah as she always had lots of dog treats for her. We will miss her kindness and joyful personality. Thinking of you.
