So sorry to hear of Mairi’s passing. She was such a fun, loving, positive person and I know she will be dearly missed. Unfortunately I will be travelling on Friday overseas and won’t make the funeral but my thoughts and prayers are with you Jim and your family as you deal with your loss of wife, mom and grandma. Hugs Mary Margaret

To the Byrne Family: On behalf of Martin’s friends and shipmates within the Royal Canadian Navy, we wish to offer our heartfelt condolences for your loss. Martin often spoke with great pride about his parents and from his accounts, Mrs. Byrne was an excellent person who will be sorely missed. We know that Martin enjoyed spending a great deal of his time with his parents at the Lake and also enjoyed travelling with them to Europe. Please know that we are thinking of you all during this difficult time. Very Sincerely, RCN

Dear Martin,
Brett and I were saddened to hear the news of your Mom this week. I have no doubt as she played the series of memories in her mind and her heart, that she was proud of you, your children and your successes. Please accept our deepest condolences as you say your goodbyes. My mom passed away 25 years ago, and I love her as much today as I did 25 years ago.
