BUTSON: Mae of Egmondville
With the love of her family in her heart, Isabella Mae Butson (née Taylor) passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the age of 92. Mae was a quiet, gentle woman who enjoyed the comfort of her home. In her day, Mae was talented with a needle and thread sewing many treasures… throughout her life, Mae stitched ways of love and kindness into the lives of her family and friends.

Mae will be lovingly remembered by her children Allan Butson and Kimett Davis of Egmondville and Eleanor and Barry Wiseman of Newmarket. Memories of a special grandma remain with grandchildren Tim, Dan and Miranda, Lindsay and Chris, Leigh Ann and Doug, Michael and Geoff, Samantha, and great grandchildren Kylee, Carter, Nathan, Maya, Ava and Mason. Left to reminisce days gone by are Mae’s sister Evelyn Venner and sisters -in-law Dorothy (Dot) Lean and Margaret Taylor. In faith we trust that Mae’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with her husband Bill Butson (1995), parents Orville and Christina (née Dougall)Taylor and brothers Bob, Orville, Neil and Jim.

Visitation will take place at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Thursday, October 24 from 12 -1 p.m. A funeral service will follow commencing at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in Staffa Cemetery and a reception will be held at Seaforth Legion, Branch 156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Egmondville United Church or Stratford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Our deepest sympathy to all the family. I have so many great memories of Mae, and the many great visits. We had so many good meals with the entire Taylor family over so many years. Our family have many memories of being at the Butson farm, lots of fun.
I’m so glad that we had a good visit with Mae just a couple yrs, ago, she was happy and very fortunate to have been able to stay at home Thank You Allan for being there for your Mom.
This generation is slipping away. I hope the family will look back and be thankful for all the memories.
Love Aunt Dot and Cliff
