BUTLER: Mildred “Ruth” of Lucan and formerly of R.R #1 Arva

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London on February 5, 2015 of Lucan and formerly of R.R.#1 Arva in her 80th year.  Beloved wife of Bill Butler.  Dear mother of Cheryl Koteles and companion Mervyn Grumett, Ken and Susan Butler, and Jim and Erin Butler all of London.  Dear grandmother of Luke; Emily and Andrew.  Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, especially Karen and Dan Lemanski of London.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Lorne and Donna McGuffin of London, Lorne and Lynn Ardiel of Ballymote, and Marilyn McGuffin of London.  Predeceased by her parents Les and Hannah McGuffin, brothers Henry and John McGuffin and a sister Mary Ardiel.  A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their care and compassion.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 1:30  PM with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating.  Cremation with interment St. John’s Cemetery, Arva.

Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London or the London Health Sciences Foundation-Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.

So many many memories of us all growing up together on the farm. Aunt Ruth was always there for Janine, Vickie and myself and we felt right at home. Her sense of humour was certainly a good thing with us getting into mischief all the time. We will miss her cheerfulness and her laughter. So sorry for your loss.
