BROWN: Ema of London and Lucan

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Ema, who died peacefully at home on November 8, 2021 of London and Lucan, at the age of 16. Cherished daughter of Jennifer Waye (Bruce Patriquin) and Robert Brown. Much loved sister of Ian Brown (Taylor). Beloved granddaughter of Ian Waye. Missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents John and Joyce Brown and Linda Waye.

Ema was uniquely privileged to have Christian and Natasha Beach along with their children Gage, and Aliannah as her homeshare family. The Beaches have become an essential part of Ema’s special blended family.

Ema has had more struggles than anyone should have to face in a lifetime. Each struggle taught us about bravery, strength and determination. In her short 16 years she made an impact on everyone she came in contact with, whether it was a high five, a smile or just a wave. Ema’s smiles and laughs were unforgettable, infectious and constant. She was a force, she knew what she wanted and wouldn’t stop until she got it. That fiery red hair temper helped her over the years.

Thank you to so many people who have helped, treated, and interacted with Ema over the years. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and workers at Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario and the home share program who brought them the Beach family. Also Dr. Kim at Byron Family Medical Centre who brought compassion, peace and comfort in her final fight, Ascha at St. Elizabeth Health  and Emmanuel Baptist Church for their prayers, kind words and spiritual guidance.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM. The memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 40007 Kirkton Road, Exeter on Monday, November 15th at 11 AM with Pastor Tim Hawman officiating. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the visitation and funeral, please click “Register Now” below to register. If you are unable to attend the service in person, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh

Donations to the Children’s Health Foundation or Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron would be appreciated.
