1936 – 2022

Passed away at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in his 87th year. Cherished husband of Anne Brock for 61 years. Loving father of Karen (Greg), and the late Jeffrey. Proud grandfather of Emily. Dear brother and brother in-law of David Brock (Lydia), Sandy Brock, and John King (Mary). Predeceased by his brother Don Brock.

Bill has several University degrees, including three honorary degrees. He had a very successful thirty-seven year career with Toronto Dominion Bank. Upon retirement, he was Deputy Chairman.

A private family funeral service was held at Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220).

Memorial donations may be made in honour of William T. Brock to support the Lung Cancer Research Fund at the Princess Margaret Foundation (www.pmcf.ca).

I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember working with Bill back in the early 1980’s when he was Deputy Chair of TD and I was a young lawyer. My experience with him was that he was very patient (with me, not necessarily others) and so very helpful. I so enjoyed learning from him and can only think fondly of him and of the good times we had working together.

LInda and I were very saddened to learn of dear Dear Bill’s passing; I had the pleasure of working with Bill for at least 15 years at the TD, I still remember visiting Singapore in 1974 where you and Bill made me feel most welcome. Bill was a larger than life Character and he is going to leave as with many wonderful memories.
