BRAND: Peacefully, surround by the love of his family, at Jessica’s House Hospice, Exeter, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Johannes “Hans” Brand of Exeter, formerly of Stephen Township, age 88. Beloved husband of Nancy (Bertelink) Brand. Loved father & father-in-law of Mark & Brenda Brand, Jeff & Audrey Brand, Lori & Daryl Selves and Allan & Heidi Brand. Cherished grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Loved brother & brother-in-law of Jim & Teresa Brand, Adriaan Brand, Tinie Brand, Martin Fischer, Hermien Jans, Dick & Josie Bertelink and John & Rennie Bertelink. Predeceased by Bob Brand, Henk Brand (Betty), Corrie Fischer, Simon Brand (Rennie), Bert Brand (Renie) and Hank Jans. Hans worked at Middlesex Creamery and was a graduate of the University of Guelph (1959) as a Butter-maker. He traveled around Southern Ontario repairing Butter-maker machines and continued his farming on Parr Line north of Crediton. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffmans & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10 am to 11:30 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 12 noon. Mr. Bob Heywood officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Memorial Donations ( payable direct) to Jessica’s House, Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
