Silvere was such a joy to be around. I always looked forward to seeing him because of this. He always made us laugh and had such a sly twinkle in his eye. Although we didn’t get to see him much, he always made me feel loved, special and welcome…and like we had a little inside joke going that no one else knew about! He will be so deeply missed. Silvere was an ardent fan of the Exeter Hawks,loved the games and watching his son and grandson as players. He was for many years a fixture on game night in Exeter. Silvere won 50/50 draws on many occasions simply because he bought more tickets than anyone. He was a great fan, many will remember him for that alone. Tante Denise and all my Bilcke family – I have so so many fond memories growing up of Pepe-whether it was that he let us build a play house out of the chicken coop on the tobacco farm, Christmas mornings when you lived in Rockwood and we would all have porridge sitting on the little table and chairs, always getting a turkey for Christmas from him-I would ask for the smallest and each year I had trouble finding a roasting pan to fit it into and so many more. He was a wonderful man as were his brother and sisters before him and he is at peace and rest with them now. I am out of the country at the moment so cannot be there to hug you all but know that you are in my thoughts today. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
