How many potatoes did this lady peel, how many pieces of bread did she put together to make sandwiches, and how many happy faces gazed upon this woman and called her Mother and Friend? I am deeply saddened to hear of Flo’s passing.

Although I haven’t seen her in a few years, I have so many wonderful childhood memories from time spent at Flo and Bob’s with the Bibby crew. As a child I thought Flo’s kitchen was one of the best places in the world. The kettle was always on, there was always something good to eat, there was always room for one more chair around the table and there was always laughter, joking, stories and friendship.

She was one of the sweetest, friendliest and kindest people that I have ever known.

I’ll bet she already has a batch of fudge on the stove and is making heaven a sweeter place.

Unfortunately I can’t make it down to Exeter today to help celebrate her life but am sending my condolences to you all.
