Today I lost a special friend. She was an awesome lady and we shared many cups of teas together and a few beers. I always enjoyed the time I spent with her and she would brighten my day when I was down and boy I had many of them. She will truly be missed and she impacted my life in a big way! My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family. Now when I sit on my front porch and enjoy my cup of tea I will have fond memories of you Betty! Love Patti

Condolence from Trish Nigh on November 1st, 2010 1:00 PM

My sincere condolences on the loss of your dear mother. She was such a nice, fun loving person, leaving memories to many in the community. I remember when going home to spend time with my own dad, she always watched and had that great smile, and fantastic wave from her special spot in her living room, acknowledging my arrival back home in Seaforth. I truly enjoyed the phone talks we had when she was residing in Mitchell. She will certainly be missed by many of us. Keep her memories close and dear to your hearts, as I know I will.
Sincerely: Trish Nigh

Betty was a phenomenal lady. She was the butterfly to our neighborhood; always watching to make sure each house was safe and by the end of the day knew exactly what went on. We will miss that a lot, but now there&&single&&s a butterfly above your chair so we know you&&single&&re still with us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, they are amazing people – they were very lucky to have a mother/grams like you in there life. I thought of you like a grandma just like Vickie is like a mom to me and Becki like a sister. Gone but never forgotten, “don&&single&&t cry because it&&single&&s over, smile because it happened.”

Condolence from Sandy Hulley Robinson on November 2nd, 2010 1:00 AM

I could never express in words what a good friend and neighbour Betty and the whole Harris family was to all of us as we grew up on the farm at Winthrop. They made our lives a lot more fun for sure. It was common for Bob and Betty who maybe weren&&single&&t quite done their partying yet some nights, to come to our house at 2 or 3 am and jump right into the bed of Mom and Dad and make them get up to keep the party going. “Get up Margie, you can sleep when you&&single&&re dead”, Betty woud say. They helped us through some sad times in our lives but there were a lot more happy times I remember. Now Betty is finally “sleeping” although I just can&&single&&t believe it. I would like to think she is somewhere smoking a cigarette, a drink in her hand arguing with God about who and who should not get into heaven. Bless your soul Betty. We will miss you.
Vickie, Shirley and Ron and families, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Hulley Family

Hello, we do not know each other but I am writing to you in regards of the loss of your dear family member, Betty Harris. I saw your obituary in the classifieds and I would like to send my deepest sympathy. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love and it can be most difficult to bear.

The Bible, however, holds out a wonderful hope. The Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future right here on earth – Psalms 37:11. Although this is a time of sadness, I would like to direct you to some encouraging and comforting information that can be shared amongst you and your family. A sample of it is contained in the online brochure “When Someone You Love Dies” found at:
