Sincere sympathy to the family of Doris.
Doris was a favourite of mine at the Grand Bend Golden Agers Club, always a kind smile and big hug for me.
We often shared little stories and chuckles at the meetings.

We always enjoyed talking with Mrs. Bestard when we met at church or at the stores in Grand Bend. She told me she was a Hensall girl, like me, and knew my mom. Always so kind and friendly. Sending our condolences, may your good memories help you through this difficult time. Gary & Beth Jennison

Condolence from Trish Murdock on July 11th, 2023 8:16 PM

Doris was a member of our Prayer Shawl Ministry at HSUC. I sat beside her most meetings as I wasn’t an accomplished knitter. She showed me how to make “broomstick lace”. A very patient teacher. I have many fond memories of Doris.

Condolence from Richard Jennison on July 12th, 2023 8:09 PM

Kevin and Family,
Will always remember your Mom loading a bunch of hockey players in her car and heading off to Thedford from Lawrence Mason’s gas station. I bet we had five or six in there and no matter the weather , off we went…funny how those things stick with you. Your Mom would always chide me for calling her ‘Mrs. Bestard’ , but it was out of respect for her kindness and always having time to share a word and a greeting. She was good with it once we had a hug.
It was truly an honour to have known this good lady. May your memories bring a smile to you as they do for so many of us , who count ourselves fortunate to have known your Mom.
Respectfully , Richard and Wendy Jennison

Curtis & I are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. After Doris moved north, I missed our monthly road trips to Goderich to visit Muriel. I also enjoyed meeting up at our Women’s Institute meetings. May memories bring you strength and comfort.
