Dear Barr family, Marion was my bus driver for many years when I went to Oxbow P.S. She always said good morning and good night to everyone when we got on&off the bus. She was so very generous at Christmas break and end of the school year, and she would have a case of pop at the front of the bus and she would give us a can when we got off.
Wishing you comfort and peace to face the days ahead and loving memories to hold in your heart . 🤍

Condolence from Heather Hagan on September 18th, 2021 7:06 PM

I will always remember Marian’s laugh and voice. She was a special lady.

Our family has a unique memory of the Barr family. Our son as a small child visited his grandparents, Honor and Emerson, Marian’s aunt and uncle on concession 16. Greg as a little guy referred to the Barr family as the “people” .
I never quite understood the term but maybe they were special people to a small child that made him feel welcome and a member of the Barr family. A special family due to Marian and Tom.

A life well lived is all we can ever wish for.

Heather and Doug Hagan, Ennismore ON

Dear Jeanette, Doug, Bob, Bill and Ron and families. Aunt Marion was in many ways to me the epitome of a great lady and one whom I wish to me able to emulate. She had a great heart, was loving, gentle, warm and sensitive as well as being capable, industrious, independent and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She is deeply loved and will be missed by all who had the joy of being a part of Marion’s circle of family and friends. Thinking of you all and praying for you as you gather to celebrate a life well lived, a rich, strong family that she and Uncle Tom created and a life time of memories of a wonderful lady.

Love

Condolence from Sandra and Larry Hern on September 21st, 2021 8:27 AM

Dear Jeanette, Doug, Bob, Bill, Ron and all your Families,

One of the very hardest things we have to do in life is say good bye to those we love…especially our Mom. You were all blessed to have the most awesome Mom who loved you all so much! Her family was her pride and joy…and her tablet kept her right up to date with what everyone was doing. She always made sure to extend her Best Wishes if you had a birthday or special event. Right now, your hearts are breaking…as is mine…but eventually that pain will ease as all your happy memories of her replace your sorrow. I will miss my visits with Auntie Marion as she was a connection to my past and I could get answers to all my questions. Larry and I extend our love and sympathy to you all. xxoo

Condolence from Perry and Faye Wildfong on September 21st, 2021 10:01 AM

Doug, Jeanette, Bob, Bill, Ron and the whole Barr clan,
Having just returned from being out of the country, we were shocked to hear the sad news of your Mom’s sudden passing. I’ve known your family since grade 5, so about 55 years, and as everyone has expressed, your Mom was kind, warm and loving, and always expressed an interest in what was happening in our lives.
It was wonderful that everyone was able to gather to celebrate her birthday just a week and a half ago. The pictures we saw showed how happy she was to be surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed and our thoughts and love are with you all.
Perry and Faye

To the entire Barr clan
We were very sorry to hear of Marion’s passing in speaking with Doug this afternoon. I first met your Mother/Grandmother back in 1982 after becoming friends with Doug while working at 3M in London. I managed to somehow get invited to a number of Barr parties and family events at the time and to this day, it still strikes me just how incredibly warm and welcoming your family is. It certainly became apparent back then and today what a wonderful family she had created. These are difficult times but, life does goes on and I hope you will always enjoy and cherish the many amazing family memories you have been left with. Take care all.

Bob & Heather
