Joannie, Jeannie and Gary: words cannot express how much your dad meant to us. His wit makes me chuckle to this day. How I remember our dads telling their stories and the wonderful times we had together. I am relieved he is out of his suffering and it will be lonely without him. My deepest sympathy to the Barker family. Janette babysat my youngest about 35 years ago. Jim used to tease her and try to get her to talk to him. Finally, Janette persuaded her to talk to him and call him by a childhood nickname. I am sure Jim was very surprised and pleased that she was now talking to him.

We were so sorry to hear about Uncle Jim’s passing.
Unfortunately we did not hear about it until after the funeral was over and we feel badly for not knowing.
We would have gladly made the trip down having known.
