BAKER: Lynda (Stire) of Exeter and formerly of Whalen Corners

Unexpectedly, on October 28, 2017 of Exeter and formerly of Whalen Corners in her 70th year. Beloved wife of the late David Baker (1980). Loving mother of Matthew Baker of Exeter and Mark and Donise (Dundas) Baker of Crediton. Dear grandmother of Christopher, Samantha, and Stephen. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Larry Stire of Exeter, Glenn and Laura Stire of Exeter, and Paul and Brenda Baker of Victoria Harbour. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Carl (2003) and Ruth (Kenney) (2015) Stire and parents-in-law Edgar (1995) and Janet (Thomson) Baker (2010).
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 11AM with Pastor Doug Watson officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Jessica’s House-South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Sending the whole family our deepest condolences. We have been friends for so many years with Dave and Lynda . Then the twins came along. They filled their lives with love and joy. We spent many a time at the farm and on to the Domtar dances or just a get together. We were so shocked to read that Lynda had passed. She will be missed by so many. Her laugh will always be remembered and her honest soul. We have heavy hearts and want you to know we are thinking of you all and she is united with the ones above looking down.

My condolences to all of you in the passing of your grandma and mom. May your special memories bring some comfort at this time and smiles in the times ahead.
I had the greatest pleasure and honour to work with Lynda at SHDHS in the cafeteria with Jennie Rowe and Staff. Also as well at the Recreation Centre Food Booths. Always a smile on Lynda’s face and a very hard worker. Lots of amazing wonderful memories of Lynda. I even helped Lynda and Jennie do odd jobs last year(2016).
