September 21, 1935 – July 3, 2026

Orville passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich.

Born in Dover Township, Kent County, Ontario, Orville grew up on a family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic from an early age.Whether working on the farm, in a factory, or later in truck tire service, he never shied away from hard work. In 1994, a serious workplace accident left him with lasting disabilities. Even so, he continued to face life’s challenges with courage and determination.

Orville was not always good at expressing his feelings, but he always cared about the people at home and the cats and dogs around him. One of the things he often said was, “Don’t let them go to bed hungry.”

Orville’s impatient and impulsive nature led to mistakes that left regrets in some of his closest family relationships. In his later years, he often reflected on his life and never stopped thinking about his children.

More than once, Orville said, “I hope that one day I’ll be able to hold my three children in my arms again.”

Orville’s Christian faith remained an important part of his life. He sincerely believed in Christ and trusted in Jehovah. During his final days, he found comfort in listening to the Scriptures, held firmly to the hope of the resurrection, and looked forward to God’s promised new world.

Orville was predeceased by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Zhu Kong.

Orville was the father of Baby Baillargeon (1965); Leanna Jacques; Brady Baillargeon;and Cory Baillargeon.

May Orville be remembered as he truly was—an ordinary man with both imperfections and strengths, who worked hard, persevered through life’s hardships, and remained faithful throughout his life.
