Posted By Haskett Funeral Home On January 24, 2025 @ 12:19 PM In Exeter,Obituary | 14 Comments

Passed away suddenly at home with his loving wife by his side on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Linda “Lynn” (Romphf) Bailey for 45 years. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Elizabeth Hayward, and Barbara England. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, the extended Bailey family, and special friends from Leduc Alberta, Wallaceburg and Sarnia. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Lyle Hayward and parents Earl and Marjorie (Miller) Bailey.
Dave was a kind-hearted and special soul, known for his warm and generous nature. He had a passion for good food and was always willing to lend a hand as a handyman on the side. Dave and Lynn cherished their time in Sarnia, where they lived for 11 years, before moving to Grand Bend 9 years ago to enjoy their retirement. He found joy in fishing and playing cards with friends, creating lasting memories along the way. Dave will be deeply missed by his loving wife Lynn and close-knit community of family and friends, who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Following Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation & Celebrations, Grand Bend (519-963-4003)
In Lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke in Dave’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
Lynn, Liz and your families. I am so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you will find comfort in your memories of the good times. Hugs.

It was truly sad to learn about Dave’s sudden passing.
Dave was quick witted, had great stories and an amazing ability to share them.
We always enjoyed family get togethers whenever Dave was around because there would always be some manner of mischief about.
I too also enjoyed the summer visits at Aunt Marj & Uncle Earl’s place. Great times but too short.

My deepest condolences to you Lynn. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting you personally I sure ate my share of your delicious homemade cookies that Dave brought his fellow drivers. I enjoyed the time I got to work with Dave, he was a gentleman full of kindness and caring.
