Celebration the Life of Marie Louise (Beaver) Astle
03 November 1938 – 25 January 2022
Marie is survived by her husband Ralph her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchilden
Join us to share stories and memories Sunday August 7, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm at the Dashwood Community Centre, 150 Centre Street, Dashwood, Ontario
ASTLE: Marie Louise (Van Dorsselaer) (Beaver)
Marie passed quietly in her sleep at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in her 84th year. Loving wife of 39 years to Ralph Astle of Dashwood. Loving mother of Wendy (Eric) Nethercott, Cindy (David) Hynes and Don (Jen) Beaver. Cherished grandmother of Amy (Ken) Mclean, Cheryl (Shane) Smith, Lisa (Ben) Biernes, Julie Nethercott and partner Kurt, Lucy and Pierce Hynes, Darren (Lara) Beaver, Grady (Courtney) Beaver. Marie will also be greatly missed by her 9 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her sister-in-law Marion Astle, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Philomina (Maes) Van Dorsselaer, the father of her children Lloyd Beaver, brothers Ray and Shirley Van Dorsselaer, Joe Van Dorsselaer and brother-in-law John Astle. She was a dedicated parishioner of the former Dashwood United Church, enjoyed Ladies Auxiliary, long time employee at Dashwood Industries and in her later years as a volunteer at Dashwood Arc Angels. Marie is currently resting at T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (payable directly). We honor Marie with the following Bible verse: My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and portion, forever. (Psalm 73:26).
