ALLISTER;  Unexpectedly, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, Francis “Frank” Gordon Allister of Grand Bend, age 78.  Beloved husband of Carol Loreen (Gill) Allister.  Loved father and father-in-law of Janet and Hank Arnold of Lucan, Kathy and Ed Thoonen of Ivan, Linda and Greg Meadows of Warren, MI.  Cherished grandpa (papa) of Jessica and Hannah Arnold, Melissa, Madison and Allison Meadows.  Dear brother-in-law of Susan Gill of Waterloo and Emerson and Betty Anne Gill of Grand Bend.  Predeceased by his parents John and Eva (Gallienne) Allister, father and mother-in-law Willis and Loreen (Borland) Gill and brother-in-law Allan Gill.  Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with visitation on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Ken Whiting Officiating.  Cremation to follow with Interment Grand Bend Cemetery.  Frank’s favorite pastime was golfing, he was a past member of the Grand Bend Lions Club, coach of the former Grand Bend Mariners Hockey Team and enjoyed umpiring baseball in Grand Bend area for many years. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetic Association or a charity of your choice.
