Our love and prayers are with all the family. I have nothing but the best of memories of your Mom (and Dad); and often think of them this time of year; with many cottage memories, and just “hanging out” in Centralia. I always loved to hear your Mom sing; to me it was full of love and joy; an extension of your Mom.

Love Robin and Jim Ballantyne

Norm, Marg, Don, Donna, Linda, Barb and families;
Please accept our very deepest sympathy at this time. We were all saddened in Centralia church community and neighbourhood when we heard the news.
Your mom was a valued member of our church, and specifically of our choir. She enjoyed coming in the door each Sunday and always had a smile on her face. She seldom missed choir practice and if she did, was always faithful to let someone know what was going on. Lois really enjoyed her music and it showed in her voice, her way she portrayed each and every solo and in her choice of songs. At most choir practices for any important occasion, we always had a list of songs from her, mostly the old favourites which we were to go over and then we were to choose one. I often wondered if we went over them just because she enjoyed singing them and loved to hear them, and not because we had to pick one for the date ahead! But most times we would do just that, and our practices never lasted just the one hour they were slated for! After Lois moved to Exeter, I know she missed coming to church and singing in the choir the most. Our choir sort of fell to pieces after that too, so you know how much her presence meant to us.
Lois was always a great helper at our lunches and dinners. Over the many years she was a faithful, devoted member of Centralia United, she cooked turkeys, hams, cranberries, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, pies, pies, pies, squares, cheesecakes and on and on and on. She did it all. As a member of the “Supper Club”, she served and cooked for a vast number of community dinners, raising monies for projects at the church. If there was something going on in church, in UCW or anything connected to the church, Lois made sure she was part of it, right up until her health began to fail her. Even when her health held her back a bit, she tried to think of other ways to help and we really appreciated that.
We missed Lois when she left our community and we miss her more today. She was a wonderful example of Christianity and we all learned from her example, her smile and her fellowship. We have many wonderful memories to cherish, but I still miss her.
Very Sincerely, Ray and Judy

To Margaret and all your brothers and sisters and families:

We send you our deepest sympathy at this sad time in your lives. We know you will all miss your Mom very much. Probably my earliest memory of her would be when I was a preschooler and she was singing.
We wish you much comfort now, and eventually happiness in your memories.
Sincerely, Janet and Art Clark, one branch of the cousins.

Yes, Lois did attend several of our family functions with Mom. I have the most beautiful picture of Lois, Mom, Cliff and I taken at our youngest daughters wedding. That was nine years ago this past July and they both look so healthy and happy in the photo. Also a beautiful picture of mom and Lois taken one Easter at the Londesborough Hall. Mom holding a new grand baby and Lois looking on as if it were one of her own. Sweet memories. Enjoy the memories.

With deepest sympathy, Elaine & Cliff Webber, Stratford
