Suddenly, at home on Monday, December 5, 2011 of Centralia in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Hodgins) O’Brien. Dear step-father of Desta Rock. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ron O’Brien, Bill and Joyce O’Brien, Terry Robinson, Robin and Rick Marshall and Lori O’Brien. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Theresa O’Brien and a brother-in-law Robert Robinson.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street (1 west of Main Street), Exeter on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a private family funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9th with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation with interment St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Brinsley.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
I am so sorry to hear about Wayne’s passing, He was always a good man as far as i ever saw, always gave me a hard time but always made us laugh. He will be missed, just remember that laugh of his and he will never be far away. My deepest sympathy.

Sorry for your loss, Wayne was a witty guy, he always had a comment for us and the boys when we would go for breakfast at the Malibu and we always got a chuckle. He will be greatly missed. Mike

I was saddened to hear that Wayne was gone, we have know each other since we were kids and for so many years he was a friend to Ed. My condolences to you Phyllis your family and to all his brother and sisters. My God keep you in his loving care.

I was so saddened to hear about Wayne. He always had a compliment or something witty to say everytime I saw him. He will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to hear of Wayne’s sickness and now his passing . May friends, family and God be with you, Phyllis, in this your time of need. I well remember Wayne’s mischievious grin and his rib-tickling chuckle. He found humour where others wouldn’t look.

I will miss you Wayne,by coming to your place to bring and pick up cattle, will miss you on tuesdays at Denfield because you did gave me a hard time but all in fun, I will never forget that monday,because Desta and I were the last people to see you and hold you in my arms

Our sincere condolences to everyone – Phyllis, Desta and the O’Brien Family, on Wayne’s sudden passing. Milt and Wayne kicked around together in their much younger years and I’ve heard several tales of those days. May your memories of happy times together, be a comfort to you now and in the days ahead. So sorry for your loss. I knew Wayne since I was thirteen, we used to live on the farm of Powes across on the Crediton Road. Miss his humor
