Remember all the nice times you had together,you had Mom for a very long time.

Dear Jane, Burda and Harriet and the rest of the family,

We’ve received the sad news that your (grand)mother passed away. We are sorry for your loss.

We are happy that her wish to die at her own place has been fulfilled. Without your good care this wouldn’t have been possible.

We wish you a lot of strength and are with you in our thoughts.

Our condolences to our dear tante Anna, Sjaan and Riek on the loss of your sister, Cornelia.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mom talked fondly of family in Holland and New Zealand often, when we were young and even more so in her later years living in Lucan. She made sure that we would never forget our family overseas by telling us stories and showing us photographs. You can take comfort in the fact that your sister passed away in her home peacefully just as she wanted. She loved life to the fullest and that is her legacy we will carry forward. Even though you are so far away in Holland I know that the bond you have as sisters will always be near to you. That is the power that no ocean can separate.
