VAN BEEK: Henrica “Hennie” (de Graaf) of Ailsa Craig and formerly of Thedford

At Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig on Sunday, July 23, 2017 of Ailsa Craig and formerly of Thedford in her 94th year.  Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Van Beek (2003).  Dear mother of  Antoinette and Neil Wagner of Platsville, Laura Fischer of Cambridge, Lawrence Van Beek and Rosalyn Lee of British Columbia, Ken and Deb Van Beek of Brussels, Martin Van Beek and Catherine Cook of Bayfield, Anthony and Angela Van Beek of Thedford, Mary Lou and Peter Winkler of Constance Bay, Dan Eichler of New Hamburg, and Bob Schnarr of Ailsa Craig.  Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dear sister-in-law of Katherine Van Beek of Cambridge, and Emma Van Beek of British Columbia.  Predeceased by infant first child Anthony, daughters Cora Schnarr (2005) and Joan Eichler (2008), and her brothers and sisters.  Hennie was one of thirteen children in the de Graaf family.  Lawrence and Hennie immigrated to Canada in 1949 after the war to start their own family of ten children.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Friday, July 28, 2017  at 11 AM with Father Ross Bartley presiding.  Cremation with Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
