SMITH: Audrey (Dodge) formerly of Zurich

At Butternut Manor, Uxbridge, on Friday, February 26, 2016, formerly of Zurich in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of the late Ralph Wendel Smith (2003).  Dear mother of Kevin and Anne of Minden, Karen of Richmond Hill, Tom and Gail of Calgary, Allan and Tricia of Uxbridge, and Shannon of Alliston.  Dear grandmother of Jessica and Mykel Smith; Racheal and Eric Dalton; Robert, Lisa and Jennifer Smith; and Ryan Smith; and Zachary and Dylan Smith.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Wanda Mattice, Sister Margaret Dodge, Rita Piemly Dodge, Rhonda Dodge, and Dorothy Dodge. Great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Charlotte, Bennett, Jordan and Jackson.  Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and the entire Smith and Dodge families. Predeceased by her loving son, Wayne brothers Thomas, Edmund (Teddy), Noel, and Lawrence Dodge.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street N., Zurich on Sunday afternoon 2-5 PM.  Parish prayers will be said in the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 22 Mary Street, Zurich on Monday, February 29th at 11 AM with Father Matthew George officiating.  Interment St. Boniface Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bronson Line, Zurich.

Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

It is with great sadness of the hearing of my Aunt Audrey and godmother’s passing. I have so many special memories and good times that I hold very dear. She was like a second mother to me and always took care of me like she did of her own children. May you find Uncle Ralph and be happy together again. I remember with great fondness the times our families spent together growing up. Aunt Audrey was very special to us and we really enjoyed the times we spent together

Cousins Smith, it is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Aunt Audrey. It is with great fondness that I remember the family poker games involving the Smiths and Mattices. We always had fun when our two families got together for whatever occasion. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
