SMALE: David William of Hensall

Suddenly, at his residence, on Tuesday, December 9, 2009, David William Smale, of Hensall, passed away in his 63rd year. Dear brother of Jim of Hensall and his friend Islay Johnston. Sadly missed by his aunts Donna Smale and Margaret Smale and his many cousins. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Hilda (Harburn) Smale and 1 brother Paul. David was a life member of the Hensall Legion and the Hensall Kinsman Club.

Visitation in the Hensall Visitation Chapel, 79 King St., Hensall on Sunday from 2-5 p.m A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Hensall. Pastor Tracey Whitson-Bahro officiating. Cremation Interment McTaggart’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 468 Hensall, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.

We were shocked and sadden to hear the news at work of Dave’s passing last week. I had the honour of working with Dave when he first started at General Coach. He was such a no nonsense hard worker it was refreshing to see. We will surely miss him and his unique character.
