It was a pleasure to have Chris as part of our worshipping community at Exeter United Church. I know how much he enjoyed listening to the music. I never forget the sound of him whistling during the service. The firs time I heard it, I was surprised. When I learned the source of the whistling, I began to look forward to hearing it. Please accept my most sincere condolences. May you find some comfort in knowing that I and many others have fond memories of him.

May we offer our deepest sympathies to Christopher’s family and a big “HUG” to Leanne and Shelley and all the staff at Anago where Chris lived. Christopher will be sadly missed by so many people. His infectious smile and his cute whistle and ‘WEEEEEE” will be greatly missed at Anago. Treasure all the happy memories you all had with him. Heaven now has another ANGEL watching over all of us.

I went to McCurdy public school with this sweet sweet man. Cut his hair when I worked in Exeter. He would sing Oh Canada. My mother worked at McCurdy as well and was a great friend of his. Sending our Condolences to the family ?

Deepest condolences, Christopher left a big imprint on my life. I loved how he sang and whistled … How he filled a room with happiness. “Oh Mr Sun” was always my favourite song and I loved to hear him sing it, 15 years later I hear that song and it makes me smile as I recall how brightly he smiled. Oh how his eyes danced with joy! Rest in peace Chrissy ❤️

Chris was an awesome little man, I worked with him for about 13 years and he has a place in my heart, I hope to meet him some day in heaven and hear all the things he was thinking when he would sit back with that cute little smirk and look at us staff. You will be missed Chris. Love you,

I remember Chris from when we went to the same public school ( J.A.D. McCurdy). He was always so happy and we would eat lunch together in the same room. He will be missed a lot. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.

That makes me so sad, Chris had become a regular attender at our Sunday service @ Exeter United Church. I already met him many years ago when he still lived with his grandma. Sincere condolence to those left behind .

Offering my deepest sympathies and condolences to Christopher’s family. Although I never really got to know him, I truly enjoyed seeing him every Sunday at church. His gentle demenor and enthusiastic WEEEE always made me smile, and will be definitely missed.

It was a pleasure to know you and am so glad that I was able to share so many wonderful experiences with you. I will always remember the many vacations that we went on together. Ottawa for Canada Day was an absolute blast…all the singing of O Canada made him smile with pride…even those early morning wake up’s with “how are you today”. Your laughter and smile were contagious…and sometimes mischievous. Christopher, you will be fondly remembered by so many….forever in our hearts! God Bless!!

I will always think of you Chris whenever I see strings of chestnuts that you loved to pick up and drop, just to hear their clinking sound ÷) … and whenever I hear your favourite songs … you will be dearly missed.

Chris brought joy to the hearts of many people including mine. I will always remember our times together in the Huron Street house. Goodbye sweet Chris.

Hi Ralph & Emilie: I have always known the two of you to be wonderful people. Seen the name Playfoot & thought immediately to your kindness to my younger days. Always nice to think back – it was nice to see you at the London airport a couple of years back. Special people – the Stefanik’s. I was thinking about Lillian too. Must be a time of reflection. My condolences for the loss of your nephew.

Chrissy-fur, as you’d call yourself, I have so many memories! My condolences to all his family and his many, many friends! My favourite memory was early one morning. You’d already had breakfast and were watching out the window for day staff to arrive. The cat walked near you for her own breakfast. I saw you following her with your eyes. As soon as she started to eat, you squealed. She jumped a mile straight up and ran away. You laughed. That wasn’t enough. You got quiet and waited for her to come back so you could do it again! I miss you little man. Until we meet again.

We all leave a special gift here on earth and Christopher was no exception. His incredible talent to communicate through music was a gift some are not blessed with. His ability to reach into the hearts of people he met for the first time left me in admiration. Christopher pulled at my heart strings like many others have shared when he whistled or sang, “Oh Canada”, “Ol MacDonald” and “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”. I’m forever grateful that my sister introduced me to such an incredible man who taught me so much through the depths of his eyes and his beautiful whistle. RIP Christopher you will be missed.

Our deepest sympathy to everyone who Chris touched in his all too brief time with us.
We first met Chris at the Nursery School in Dashwood.
He has touched all of our lives and holds a special place in Jessica and Amanda’s hearts.
He always brought a smile to my face on my visits to Arc. Sadly missed by all who knew him.

It saddens me to hear of the loss of Christopher. I went to school with him at McCurdy public school. One of my highlights was helping out the special needs kids. You could be having the worst day and all it took was to see their smiling face and my frown went to a big smile. He was very happy go lucky fellow and will be missed by many. God received another angel who will wear his halo and wings well.

My condolences to Christopher’s family. I worked at J.A.D. McCurdy with Christopher. At that time he lived with his grandmother, Rheta. Whenever you would start to sing, you could see Christopher light up, he would sit quietly , listening intently and then join in. I also remember doing physio with Christopher and getting him to count while doing the stretches/exercises :-)

I had the pleasure of knowing Chris, his brother and Grandmother several years ago and from them all I learned many, many things which I have carried with me through life. Chris was a joy to be around. I will treasure my memories and wisdoms learned.
