my husband and I both worked with both Emiel and Engelina at the canning factory in Exeter a number of years ago. they were always such nice people to work with, and we still continued to keep in touch with them even after they no longer worked there. they both always had smiles on their faces. they were hardworking and dedicated people. i’m sure Engelina had open arms to receive Emiel at the pearly gates when he arrived.

Dear Yvonne and family,

What a lucky person I have been to know Emil and Engelina. Such wonderful gracious people. They made me welcome from the first day I arrived at Lighthouse Cove. I will miss them both more than ever. Will be hard to look over at their place and not see either one. There are not many people like them anymore. Your dad took such good care of your mom and you, Yvonne were always there for both of them. They love the grand kids so much. Lots of great memories for all of you. Thinking of you at this difficult time but know that your parents are together and watching over all of you forever.
