Please accept my deepest sympathy at this time. Your mom was a very special lady as you already must know. I knew her from our times together at the local united church services. She used to come to every service and bring a carload of ladies with her. One winter’s day she arrived at our church in Centralia, with her car load of ladies and one lady had a hat with her. The lady put it in the hymn book holder in front of her and your mother very nicely told her that if she left it there, she would probably forget it, so why not set it beside her purse. But the lady did not change her mind. Your mom dropped each lady off at their home following the service and lo and behold, the one with the hat had no hat. So after dropping all the rest of the ladies off in Lucan, your mother drove all the way back to Centralia to get the hat for this woman. Fortunately there were still two of us left at the church and I was able to help her get the hat, as well as have a nice conversation with her. That was the kind of person your mom was – kind, helpful, generous, gracious, giving, a wonderful lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. God Bless.

Marjorie was a long retired teacher at the Exeter highschool and faithfully came to the first day of school reunions ( aptly named “to hell with the bell” …….. a strong woman and much admired by many.

So very sorry to hear of Marj’s passing . She deserves great respect! She raised her wonderful children on her own after her dear husband passed . I remember shared conversations with her at the arena about Jeff’s health. He and Gord played hockey together, and we were concerned. Lastly, I enjoyed assisting her while working at the Prince George. Marj possessed an incredible, silent strength. Our thoughts are with all the family at this time.

Condolences to the family. I have some lovely memories of “Mrs. Park” during my longtime friendship with Betty. Always very patient with a household of teenage girls , all getting ready together for a night out. A wonderful lady who will be missed.

So Sorry to hear of Marj’s passing, She was a Wonderful Woman who I had the pleasure to get to know each Thursday while doing her hair for many years, she shared her passion for bridge and for the ball games and curling to name a few and was always on top of her game to when we discussed world events etc. I was just talking with her at the hospital and though i felt she was very sick she still knew what was going on around her, What a Gem! your Mother & Grandmother was which you already know, I will miss her dearly, I have a cup and saucer and a spoon from her collection and will fondly cherish it and won’t forget her Christmas pudding she made me every year.
