Carlton, Norman Robert. Suddenly at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Saturday, March 14, 2009 of Exeter in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Mary A. (Steele) Carlton of 55 years. Dear father of Dan Carlton and partner Reta McCauley and Joanne and Douglas Deichert all of Exeter. Survived by his six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Ethel and Thomas Colley of Toronto. Brother in-law to Jeanette & Joe Petrilli of Toronto, Crawford Marling of Coldwater and Evelyn Baker of Toronto. Predeceased by his sister Eleanor Marling (1996) and brother Ronald Carlton (2006). Norman was employed with the Ministry of Transportation for many years as the test driver for the commercial vehicle safety research branch. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 street west of Main, Exeter one hour prior to the memorial service which will be held on Friday, March 20th at 1:30 PM with Bob Heywood officiating.
