I was saddened to hear of Aunt Pearl’s passing. She would always get together with us for a visit whenever we would come to Canada. I am happy that I was there to help her celebrate her 90th birthday 2 years ago. I live in Georgia now so will not be able to be there but my thoughts and condolences are with you, especially cousins Virginia and Nelson and with the rest of her family. This comes from me and my sisters Linda and Mary and our families. Love, Wanda

I am so sorry to hear of my Great Aunt Pearl’s passing. I had not seen her in quite some time, but have fond memories of her. She was very kind to me as a child, and I remember visiting with her when I would go to see my Grandparents, Lloyd & Isabel Batkin in Florida. (My father was Doug Batkin.) I remember Aunt Pearl making jewelry, and I remember her beautiful smile.

I’m sure that Pearl must have been saddened by the recent death of her sister-in-law, my Great Aunt Mabel. It is comforting to think that she is together again with so many people who she must have been missing.
Although I won’t be able to attend the services tomorrow, I will be thinking of her, and of my Dad’s cousins, Jack McKnight & Mary Gravett. May you all be at peace.
